Disappearing Landscapes

Context
Disappearing Landscapes is a booklet dedicated to the ever changing Earth and how human existence can play a major role in its development.

Brief
My task was to discover new ways of how we can tell the story of time through different media.

Solution
I created an experimental booklet piece, that takes the viewer through a journey of how different Earth landscapes changed over the course of 40 years. Some of the most notable examples include the Amazon Rain Forest, which is shrinking rapidly everyday and the Aral Sea, which dried up almost completely due to the actions of Soviet Union. All of the photography material used and tracked changes were acquired through NASA's Landsat satellites.
The holes in these pages symbolize the holes in the forest skies when trees get cut down.
Thank you!
For taking the time to look at my work:)
